A space to understand yourself

Maybe there’s a feeling of imbalance, a sense of something needing to shift or a recurring pattern.

You don’t need to arrive with a clear problem or a defined goal. Your willingness to reflect and be curious about yourself is what matters.

Joe Moore

Hi, I’m Joe Moore.

People often describe me as warm, steady, and easy to talk to. I aim to create an atmosphere that is collaborative and respectful, while being honest and thoughtful.

Therapy doesn’t need to feel overwhelming or dramatic to be meaningful. I don’t position myself as an expert on your life. I stay present and curious, while keeping the work we do contained and manageable.

You bring your experiences, I bring attention, training, and perspective.

How I work

Psychodynamic therapy is not advice-driven. I won’t be setting specific tasks or pursuing quick symptom relief.

Instead, we make sense of your experiences — particularly how your emotional world and relationships have taken shape over time, and how those patterns may still be influencing you now.

Together, we develop understanding over time — allowing change to emerge from insight rather than pressure.

Is this for me?

People who come to see me are often functioning well on the surface, yet feel something missing, unresolved, or repeating in ways they don’t fully understand.

You may already have a sense of your patterns—what’s harder is understanding why they persist, even when you’re aware of them.

You don’t need to be in crisis to begin therapy.

What it looks like

Sessions happen once a week, at a regular time, either in person in London or online.

I offer an initial free 15 minute consultation as a way to think together about what brings you to therapy, and whether this way of working feels right for you.

Therapy is typically short or medium-term, often between 6, 12 or 40 sessions, depending on your individual needs.

In clients’ words

“…you work in a very individual way, I feel understood and supported in our sessions”

Client, D.

“The sessions have helped me to grow and understand myself in a deeper and more real way than I expected…”

Client, S.

“I really felt I could be open with you, the space feels very non-judgemental.”

Client, L.

If you’d like to talk

Reaching out to a therapist can feel uncertain, especially if you’re not sure what to expect. A first conversation doesn’t commit you to ongoing work — it’s an opportunity to talk and see how it feels.

Just drop me an email or give me a call, and I’ll respond as soon as I can.
